We make choices that either help us or hurt us. All of us, if we are honest, will look back over some poor choices we have made in the past. At the time, we thought they would bring a sense of relief or fulfillment only to find that those choices were not right at all. On the other hand, those who chose to follow the Lord have found that to be the right choice. All I am trying to say is, chose things that will help you. I Corinthians 10:23 speaks of making choices.

“You say, ‘I am allowed to do anything’—but not everything is good for you. You say, ‘I am allowed to do anything’—but not everything is beneficial.”

In this moving passage of scripture, we see the need to make the right choice. Paul indicates that we are allowed to do anything, but he also says that not all things are good or beneficial for you. He then says do not be concerned for your own good but for the good for others. Paul is concerned that our choices empower our lives and help the lives of another. Some things we cannot do and there are things we must do. In this chapter, he highlights things that are good and bad. Read this chapter. Make the right choice and choose things that give honor and glory to God. Choose things that will bless your life. Live and help others. Do not be selfish. Prayerfully, you can say that you have made the right choice in living for good. You cannot go wrong. Remember these words; “In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.”
