BEYOND OUR TEARS
I want to be as transparent, once again, as humanly possible, because there have been times in my life when my heart has been heavy. In fact, my heart has been broken, causing me to cry in the midnight hour, tears of pain and sorrow. I know I am not alone. Each of us will experience those moments when our tears will flow like rivers of water. But we cannot allow ourselves to stay in that place. We must move beyond our tears knowing that weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning! Put your faith and trust in God and let Him turn your tears of sorrow into tears of joy. He did it for me and I know he will do the same for you! In Matthew 9:36, we find these words:
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Jesus had been traveling through the towns, teaching and healing the sick. He came across crowds of people who appeared tired, confused, and helpless, as if they were sheep without a shepherd. Jesus told His disciples to pray and ask God to send more workers. The King had compassion on the people, helping them to move beyond their tears of sorrow. In this same chapter, we see how the Master healed the blind man. He was always touching and blessing people so that they could move beyond their tears. The Master has that same compassion for us. Trust Him! He will move us beyond our tears.
