BEGIN EACH DAY GIVING GOD PRAISE
Every day that we live is a blessing from God. I begin each Church Without Walls service with these words, “This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” That simply means that we give glory to God for a new day, recognizing that morning- by-morning new mercies we see. God blesses us every day, and for that we should give Him praise! I would strongly suggest that we find the time each day to give God thanks. The best way to start the day is by giving God praise. Do not leave home without first acknowledging God. Give God thanks! In James 4:13, we find these words:
“Look here, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.’”
James writes about the need to avoid having much too much self-confidence. He wants our allegiance to be to God. In this chapter, James speaks about how God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. He tells his fellow believers that they should always acknowledge God and never speak evil against anyone. James is also clear about the need to give God thanks every day, and he is convinced that there is no better way to begin each day than by giving God glory. Begin each day giving God praise. He has done so much for you!
