BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
Today’s devotion calls for strong and courageous people: not timid, weak or feeble Christians. We need a strong faith that trusts God as we face battles. We cannot fight life’s battles in fear. We must be fortified by the power of God. We must say, “I can do all things through Christ Jesus” and that no weapons will prosper against me. It makes a difference how we approach battle. If we think we are beaten, we are defeated before the battle begins. Always enter the battle knowing that God is on our side. today’s devotion scriptural reference is found in Joshua 1:5 and reads:
“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.”
We see the divine mission given to the servant of the Lord. God does not send unprepared leaders into battle. Moses is dead, and God has passed the mantle and instruction to Joshua. God gave Joshua a promise that He would be with Him. God tells him to be strong and of good courage. Only the strong shall survive. When you get a chance, read this powerful message. The first condition He gives to Joshua is to be strong. May you remain strong in the Lord regardless of what comes your way. Trust God completely knowing that you are on the winning side.
