God’s Holy Word is the key to a good life we must be willing to follow the blueprint to receive the blessings of a good life.  A good life is not found in material goods that are fleeting, but in a life with integrity and honesty. It is a life, in which you honor God every day. A good life does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but in that which is good. The scripture reference is I Peter 3:10:

“For the Scriptures say, ‘If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil  and your lips from telling lies.’”

The writer speaks of how to live a good life. In this chapter, he urges fellow believers to be tenderhearted, keeping a humble attitude by not repaying evil for evil or retaliating. When people insult you, pay them back with a blessing. He says that this is what God has called us to do. The writer indicates that to enjoy life, watch what comes from your mouth. Tell the truth, turn from evil, do good, search for peace and maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over the righteous.
