Patience is a virtue. I would argue strongly that far too many believers have never discovered the gift of patience. We must learn to be patient in the time of trouble, meaning that in the midst of our troubles, we can rest on God’s promise to never leave nor forsake us. We can wait on the Lord and be of good cheer because we know that God will come to our rescue. The word is true, “But they that wait upon
the Lord shall be renewed. They shall mount up as wings as eagles; they shall run and not get weary; they shall walk and not get faint.” With patience during hard times, we will come forth as pure gold.
In Romans12:12, we find these words:

“Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble and keep on praying.”

The writer advises the people of God to be patient in times of trouble. He tells them to keep on praying and believing. The writer is confident that God will help those who are in need; all they have to do is pray, believe, be patient, and wait on God. When you get a chance, read this entire chapter because it is
good advice for us today. Prayerfully, we will each learn how to wait on the Lord, especially during the time of trouble. Wait on the Lord! Be patient and keep on praying! He will answer our prayer. Hallelujah!
