Be Kind to One Another

I have sought to cover a variety of subjects that will enhance our daily walk; however, there are some subjects that are more challenging to write about than others.  I don’t ever want to appear as if I am being judgmental or self-righteous, so I seek God’s direction before I pen a word.  Today’s devotion, “Be Kind to One Another,” is something that sounds so easy, but the reality is that some of us have difficulty
expressing kindness with either our words or our actions. The scripture reminds us today of the need to do good. In 1 Thessalonians 5:15, we find these words:

“See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good
to each other and to all people.”

Paul writes about the need to follow that which is good and not to do evil for evil, but rather to heed the examples of Christ.  This is a very practical message.  It is my prayer today that we will all apply these words to our lives.  I believe that there should be practicality in our living and in our behavior towards God’s people.  We cannot behave as the world does.  Our behavior must be in keeping with Christ who saved us.  Underline these simple words.
