This matter of being kind to everybody is something we all need to do. I would argue strongly, some are only kind to certain types of people. We are reminded in the word of God to be kind to everybody. I once read that kindness is free, but that is not true at all. It costs something to be kind. It requires humility, love, forgiveness, and the heart of God. How can we be kind to everybody? It is simply this: remember God is kind to us and consequently, we have to be kind to others. We cannot do it on our own. God must give us the strength, humility, and the wisdom to put kindness in place. Ask yourself the question today: Will I offer kindness to everybody, even those who are unkind to me? That is a question only you will be able answer. Read these words from Hebrews 13:2:

“Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!”

What powerful words from the word of God! Show hospitality and kindness, even to strangers you do not know. Notice what the writer begins with in the first verse, “Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.” In other words, keep being kind to each other, that your love to be expressed not only in word, but also, in deed.
