BE HONEST WITH GOD

It is important that we do not come before God offering any half-truths. We must come before Him with reverence, humility, and honesty. We cannot be in denial for He knows us better than we know ourselves. We must come clean. I find it amazing that we are so quick to judge others but find little time to examine ourselves. All of us need God’s continued blessings. None of us has arrived and there are things in all of our lives that need to be changed. Prayerfully, today, whenever you approach God, you can come to Him just as you are. The scripture reference is Proverbs 20:22.

“Don’t say, ‘I will get even for this wrong.’ Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.”

In this book of wisdom, the writer gives us strong advice. The advice he gives is worth using. Far too often, we come before God with a desire to get even with someone else.  We tell God what they have done to us and fail to tell God what we have done to create the problem. We are not honest with God or ourselves. The writer tells us to wait for God to handle the matter. Do not take matters into your own hands. The wisdom writer says that the Lord directs our steps. Do not allow yourselves to be trapped by bringing false claims to God. This entire chapter is worth reading. Prayerfully, you will take the time today to read it and apply it to every phase and facet of your life. Be honest with God.
