ASK GOD TO HELP YOU STAY BALANCED

It is important that we live balanced lives: lives that are full and complete. In addition, it is important that your love for God’s people represents your love of the Lord. So often, we find that our lives are out of balance. We claim that we love the Lord, but we are unable to love people. We cannot relate to people for whatever reasons and have become too top heavy, self-righteous, and judgmental. We should be considerate of one another in all that we say and do. The scripture reference in this devotion is Philippians 4:5 and reads:

“Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.”

In this deep and moving passage, Paul, the humble servant of the Lord shares encouraging words with his brothers and sisters in Christ. Paul urges them to settle their disagreements, to work hard, and to be considerate of others. He reminds them that the Lord is coming soon. Consequently, he wants them to give God glory and honor by the way they live their lives. He tells them not to worry about anything but to pray about everything. Paul wants them to practice what they have learned so that they might live balanced lives. When you get a chance read this entire chapter, then, take a moment to examine your walk. Ensure that your walk is balanced, and others will know that you have been with Christ and that Christ, indeed, has been with you.
