We need to be open for God to work in our lives. He will not force His way in. We must let him in. He wants very much to be included in our lives. In reality, far too many will not allow Him to come in. He wants to work through us, but we want to do our own thing. He wants to change us, but we refuse to be change. He wants to make something beautiful in our lives, but we are content to remain meaningless and purposeless. We need to be open and ask God to come into our hearts and work through us. When God sees us open our hearts to Him, He will surely come in and take us to a deeper and higher level in life. The scripture reference is Acts 1:8.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

We see the Lord responding to the apostles who asked Jesus a question: “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel? He said to them, “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” He gives them the promise of the Holy Spirit and the work that the Spirit will do to work through them. Oh, my brothers and sisters, when you open your life to Christ, the Holy Spirit will give you power. You will be amazed at what the Lord will do through your life. Today, let God work in your life. Let the Holy Spirit dwell in your hearts. Allow a fire to burn to set you on fire to do great works in the name of the Lord.
