Thanks be unto God that He is rich in mercy. For morning-by-morning, new mercies are ours to see. We have been made alive in Christ because of His rich and generous mercy. We know that our works do not save us, for God has bestowed His love and tender mercy on us. That ought to cause us to shout. The God we serve is full of mercy. He has plenty of mercy for all of his children. Today’s scripture lesson is taken from Ephesians 2:5 and reads in this manner:

“…that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)”

In this moving text, Paul writes that God’s mercy is plentiful. Although we were dead in sin, we are made alive in Him thought His divine mercy. He continues to say that it is only by God’s grace that we are saved. We can take no credit, for it is His mercy.  God created us as His masterpieces and we are made new in Christ Jesus. Therefore, we can do all things He has called us to do. Prayerfully, you are aware that you are blessed by His mercy that never runs out. He has an abundance of mercy that blesses us each and everyday day.
