A WORD TO THOSE WHO ARE INSECURE
Today’s devotion focuses on those who feel insecure. Let me be as transparent as possible. When I look back over my life, I realize there were many days where I have felt insecure. I have heard many words directed at me about not amounting to anything. Those words crippled me for years. Thanks be unto God that those words are behind me. In addition, I am not alone. The roots of insecurity are many: lack of education, ethnicity, poverty, etc. Today’s Word gives us the knowledge that there is no reason to feel insecure. The scripture reference is Ephesians 3:17 and reads in this manner:
“Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”
In this moving passage, Paul, the humble servant of the Lord speaks of spiritual growth. Paul is deeply committed to share with his fellow believers that there is no need to feel insecure. When they make their home in the heart of God, He will give them strength. They will experience the love of Christ and then made to feel complete with the fullness and power of life that comes from God. The Word of God will bless you. His power will take our insecurities away.
