A Shout of Victory

One morning, during our Church Without Walls service, one of God’s faithful followers sang a song of victory, and I felt the power of God moving. The song resonated with me as I thought about the words sung by someone who had overcome some battles in life. I believe that when God blesses us and grants us victory over trials and tribulations, we ought to shout! As she sang, in my heart I had a shout of victory, because I know how many victories the Lord has given me. In Psalm 98:1,we find these words:

“Sing a new song to the LORD, for He has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; His holy arm has shown His saving power!”

The psalmist praises God for the vindication he has received. He urges the people to break forth with a joyous song. Not only does he speak for himself, but also for the nation, as he calls on all the people to sing a joyous song of victory. He indicates that the Lord has granted His mercy to the people, and calls upon all the earth to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. It is my prayer, today, that we all have a shout of victory for what the Lord has done in our lives.
