A NEW START
On this 28th day of March, many of us need a new start. The resolutions we made at the beginning of the year seem to be something of the past. We made vows about what we were going to do, but many of us have not done them. Some of us made a commitment that we were going to serve the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind, but many have not followed through with this commitment. Some of us even had a bucket list of the things we were going to do for the Lord, however, some of us have failed to accomplish many of those tasks. We need a new start so that we can begin again. So, on this day let’s begin a “New Start.” This will be another opportunity for us to get right with God. He has given us grace and mercy for each day. Let’s take advantage of this newness and start all over again. Thank God for new beginnings! In Ezekiel 36:26, we find these words:
“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.”
The Lord makes it clear that He is going to bless the people of Israel with a new
start. In verse 8 -11 the Lord said, “… the mountains of Israel will produce heavy crops of fruit for my people—for they will be coming home again soon!… Your ground will be plowed, and your crops planted. I will greatly increase the population of Israel, and the ruined cities will be rebuilt and filled with people. I will increase not only the people, but also your animals … I will bring people to live on you once again. I will make you even more prosperous than you were before…” When we allow God to be first in our lives, He will do a new thing for us. It’s not too late to begin a “New Start.” Put God first today and allow Him to bless your life forever.
