A GODLY INFLUENCE
Many of us are benefactors of God’s blessings because of someone else, and we thank God for those in our family and in our circle of friends who have had a godly influence upon us. God used them in a mighty way, and we have received bountiful blessings because of them. I have asked the question time and time again, “How many people have come to Christ because of you?” God will bless us when we use godly influence to bring someone to Christ. In Titus 2:7, we find these words:
“And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.”
Titus was a trusted minister of the gospel who helped Paul provide wise spiritual leadership within the early Christian church. Paul recognized that Titus could be an example for other Christians to imitate, therefore it was important that he led by doing rather than just saying. Prayerfully, each of us will use our gifts to the glory of God so that someone will be saved.
