As I write this devotion, I am reminded that we, as the people of God, are bound together by the love of God. The beauty of this is seen as we worship and fellowship together as a Christ-centered, multi-cultural church, where we embrace inclusion and diversity. Our hearts have been bound together by the love of God. It is such joy when we are united as people of faith in a world where there’s so much turmoil, violence, and racism. Our hearts are blessed when we turn to God and see the beauty that comes as we strive to live together as brothers and sisters. In Psalm 133:1, we find these words:

“How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!”

The psalmist speaks about the beauty of living in harmony, saying in verse 2 that it is “as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.” The Lord has blessed the people who sought to be a community of faith. He anointed them with His power from on high; His blessings are everlasting. The psalmist’s heart is overjoyed from being part of this wonderful community, and he gives all glory and honor to God. Prayerfully, we are all a part of the community of faith, and we are blessed with wonderful relationships as a result.
