DAILY DEVOTION
The Lord’s Truth
Psalm 117:1-2(KJV)
Monday, August 18, 2008
As
I was preparing to write this devotion I was
moved by the length of this Psalm. Two verses,
that’s the complete 117th Psalm.
While this is the shortest of the Psalms it is
filled with so much truth. Let the Holy Spirit
guide you as it guided me when I read these deep
and profound words:
“O
praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise Him, all
ye people
For
His merciful kindness is great toward us:
And
the truth of the Lord endureth forever.
Praise ye the Lord”
You
cannot read this Psalm without the exhortation
to praise the living God. There is reason to
praise Him for His merciful kindness is great
towards us and His truth endures forever.
Someone has said, “Praise is the antidote to
depression.” It is also the antidote to worry
and anxiety. Praise is a necessity for it is
essential that we praise God. It is my fervent
prayer today that you will learn the truth from
these two verses, for when you know the truth,
you will be free. May the love of God bless you
and keep you in perfect peace.
Peace and Love,
Pastor Charles W. Quann
