Glory Belongs to God

Jeremiah 13:16(NLT)

As God’s people we ought to give Him the glory He so rightly deserves. No one but God should receive our glory.  In far too many cases the glory we should give to God is given to others.  There are consequences when we refuse to give God glory for our God is a jealous God.  The prophet wrote these words in Jeremiah 13:16:

Give glory to the Lord your God before it is too late.  Acknowledge him before he brings darkness upon you, causing you to stumble and fall on the darkening mountains.  For then, when you look for light, you will find only terrible darkness and gloom.

Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, appeals to the people to give God glory before it’s too late. With a heart full of love he warns them of the dangers they face if they do not listen. Just as the prophet came before the people as God’s mouth piece, I write today as a vessel of the Lord calling upon His people to give God the glory.  All glory and honor belong to God, He is worthy of our praise, give Him glory today.
