The Fruit of Our Lips

Hebrews 13-15 (NLT)

Tuesday August 12, 2008

The Lord is pleased when we acknowledge Him with praise from our lips.  As His people we should feel compelled to praise His name because He has done so much that we are unable to number all of our blessings. If you are like me you cannot find adequate words to express thanksgiving. We simply say thank you! In Hebrews 13:15 we find these words:

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.

The writer tells us through faith and love to continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise that is pleasing unto Him. Our praise should arise out of a spirit of thankfulness and gratitude for God's many blessings and mercies.  It is my fervent prayer that you would offer to God the fruits of your lips with deep and genuine thanks.  Let the words flow from your lips like streams of running water expressing your deep appreciation for all that He has done in your life.

Peace and Love,
